FAKE IS THE NEW REALITY is a statement that questions the construction of reality in the digital age.
Through a dialogue between digital and handcrafted, Andrea Crespi explores the fine line between truth and falsehood, control and error, tradition and contemporaneity.
The artwork thus becomes a visual short circuit that forces us to redefine our perception of the real.
HOW
The artwork arises from the fusion of digital tools and manual techniques, creating a visual short circuit between past and present, between formal rigor and the unpredictability of gesture.
The technique employed is Xylography, an ancient form of woodcut printing, which, combined with cotton paper, enhances the tactile and organic qualities of the work.
In line with his Neosynthesis poetics, Crespi explores the contrast between opposites, inviting the viewer to reflect on the boundary between authenticity and artifice.
WHO
